Privacy, stated as facts
This page describes what the build you are reading actually does. It is short because there is little to describe: the site is a set of static files, and static files do not track anyone.
What the site stores about you
Nothing. There is no account system, no comment form, no newsletter, no search that runs on a server. The pages are pre-built HTML produced at compile time from dated JSON records, so the ledger, the galleries and the filters you see are all computed before your browser is involved; the ledger filters run entirely client-side and their state disappears when you close the tab. The site sets no first-party cookies and uses no local storage for you specifically.
Analytics and advertising
There is no analytics tool installed on these pages and no advertising: the build configuration carries an empty analytics identifier and the monetization stage is switched off. No measurement script, social pixel or ad tag ships with any page here. If that ever changes, this page is the place it has to be described before it is allowed to load, and the change gets a date.
The video player loads nothing until you click it
The official trailers belong to YouTube, and re-hosting them is not something an evidence archive does. In place of an autoplaying embed, every video on this site is a cover card: your browser makes no request to YouTube while you read. Only when you press play does the real player iframe load, with a restricted referrer policy, and from that moment YouTube's own privacy terms apply to the connection between you and Google. Choosing not to click is a choice the page respects by default.
Links that leave the archive
Every claim here is required to link to its dated source, which means the site is largely made of exit
links: gamesci.cn, YouTube, Steam, the NPPA lists, museum catalogues, Wikisource. Following one sends your
request to that destination under that destination's policy; outbound links carry rel="noopener"
so the target cannot reach back into the page you left. The archive last checked these targets against their live endpoints.
Writing to us
Contact is a plain mail link to [email protected]. Composing happens in your own mail client; this website is not involved in the message and stores nothing about it. Mail you send is kept only as long as needed to answer it, and accepted corrections become dated ledger entries (the ledger, method and standing) with your name omitted unless you ask otherwise.
